FOUNDER, MANAGING DIRECTOR
Driven to help organizations create workplaces where both people and business can thrive, Eric Hutchison founded Hutchison Consulting as a bridge between research and real-world results. Eric began his professional career in the financial industry, working in branches, branding, product development, distribution strategy, and large-scale merger and conversion teams. There, he developed a practical understanding of how people strategy shapes business outcomes. Alongside his corporate work, Eric pursued deeper expertise in human behavior and organizational effectiveness, earning an MBA from Otterbein University, followed by an MS and a PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Walden University.

He has previously served on the faculty at Otterbein University, Park University, and Antioch University, teaching and designing courses across similar subject areas. His academic work is complemented by active research and thought leadership, including presentations at international conferences on community participation in police officer selection, occupational wellness for behavioral health workers, and cultural competence in the workplace.
Eric is a committed member of several professional organizations that promote ethical, evidence-based practice, including the American Psychological Association (APA), the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), the Society of Consulting Psychologists (SCP), and the Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP).
